Cookbook book club
• Join the Cookbook Book Club from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the library, 660 W. Main Ave. Each month will feature a different theme and participants can select a cookbook/recipe within the theme and share it with the group. They are also planning a potluck-style sharing of the recipes each meeting.

Bingo benefits seniors
• Bingo is played at the Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road, to raise funds to benefit the Morgan Hill Senior Center. • A new season has started for the South Bay Singers and the group invites new members to join. They meet at 7 p.m. in the LDS Church, 1790 E. Raincoats and Rubber Boots

Wine tasting in the midst of history
• Looking for something deliciously fun and educational? Visit Villa Mira Monte’s regional wine tasting room at the historic Hiram Morgan Hill House, from noon to 4 p.m., 17860 Monterey Road. Paradise Valley Vineyard’s Cabernet and Merlot will be served for a tasting fee of $5 that applies to bottle purchase. Dandelion Wishes
• The Dandelion Wishes spring/summer sale is coming to the Morgan Hill Community Center from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Dandelion Wishes is a twice-yearly, children’s-consignment sale featuring everything from baby gear such as strollers, jumparoos, and pack-n-plays, to toys, books, games, bikes, and clothing sizes 0-14. Silicon Valley Reads author at library
• Benjamin Parzybok, author of “Sherwood Nation,” will visit the Morgan Hill Library at 7 p.m. His eco-fiction novel is about the lives of people and neighborhoods in Portland, Ore., after years of severe drought and water rationing. This leads to hoarding, corruption, protests and riots, and the rise of a new “nation.” Refreshments will be served. Books may be purchased at a 10 percent discount.
