Tour Water Purification Center

  • The Santa Clara Valley Water District invites older adults for an informative tour of the Silicon Valley Advanced Water Purification Center. Opened in 2014, the center is the largest plant of its kind in Northern California and produces up to eight million gallons per day of purified water. Democratic Barbecue Fundraiser

  • The public is invited to hear Congressmember Zoe Lofgren at the South County Democratic Club’s Annual Barbecue fundraiser from noon to 2 p.m., at Morgan Hill Cellars, 1645 San Pedro Ave. Proceeds go to the SCDC Scholarship fund, which awards four scholarships to Gavilan college students, and to support progressive values within the region.
