With the holiday season now in full swing I am always overcome with a sense of gratitude for the wonderful acts of kindness and support that the many individuals, businesses, and nonprofits have demonstrated during the past 12 months. While this past year continued to bring a large degree of uncertainty, transition and a heavy dose of financial stress upon all our businesses, I believe an equal and opposite force of resilience, commitment, and a passion to succeed surfaced as an overriding theme, instilling an optimistic forecast of business growth leading into 2022.

Although each business in our community may be currently navigating through various stages of recovery and stabilization, lessons learned and applied throughout the past 12 to 18 months will prove to strengthen their resolve to succeed, and along with the continued support of the Morgan Hill community will position all businesses with a sense of renewal for the months ahead.

So how can you continue to support our business community? By keeping our small, independent businesses first of mind in your upcoming holiday purchases will have a direct and immediate impact on the financial health of our business community.

The span of services offered throughout Morgan Hill (retail, hospitality, restaurants, recreation, art, and entertainment) is unequaled in the Bay Area and I encourage you to shop, dine and enjoy all aspects of our business community throughout the holiday season.

The Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce along with our colleagues, the Morgan Hill Downtown Association and Visit Morgan Hill are pleased to support the “Buy Local Campaign” and encourage you to visit ww.buylocalmorganhill.com and the Chamber of Commerce Shop-Dine and Discover Morgan Hill Facebook page www.facebook.com/groups/718773035615355 to stay abreast of all of the wonderful holiday special events, discounts and activities that our Morgan Hill businesses offer during the holiday season.

The Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce is extremely humbled to serve our community, grateful for your continued support and mindful that we must earn your respect, confidence, and trust on every interaction we have with our members and our community.

On behalf of myself, Lori Allen, Mellea McLaughlin, Brooke Hoekstra and the board of directors, I wish you all a safe, healthy, and peaceful holiday season.
