Line Dancing

Grief Counseling

Second Mondays

Parkinson’s Support Group
• This monthly meeting supports persons and caregivers affected by Parkinson’s disease. The group meets on the second Monday of each month from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. at Merrill Gardens in Gilroy. Details: please call (408) 691-5982.

First, third Mondays

Lions Club Meets
• Lions Club meets at 7 p.m. virtually and occasionally at 12415 Murphy Ave., San Martin. They support local and global activities. Details: [email protected].

Second, fourth Mondays

Lions Club Morgan Hill
• The Lions Club meets at Mama Mia’s, 275 E. Dunne Ave., at 7 p.m. They focus on programs and services for the blind and visually impaired, and many other local programs. Details: (408) 723-1018.

Historical Museum Open
• The Gilroy Historical Museum, 195 Fifth St., is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the first Saturday.

Wednesdays

Wind Symphony Meets
• The Morgan Hill Wind Symphony meets from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., at Grace Hill Church, 16970 DeWitt Ave., Morgan Hill. Bring your instrument and join the group. Details: www.mhws.org.

First Wednesday

Flower Lovers Meet
• The Morgan Hill Flower Lovers is having an open invitation for potential members interested in perfecting their knowledge of gardening. They meet at 12:30 p.m. at the Community & Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road.

South Valley Wood Workers

Embroiderers Guild of America
• The Gavilan Hills Chapter seeks new members. Meet at 10 a.m. through October, at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road. Proof of vaccination required. Masks worn indoors. The mission of the EGA is to inspire passion for the needle arts through education and the celebration of its heritage.

Duplicate Bridge

Women in Touch II

Horsemen Meet

Running Group, Club Run
• The South Valley Running Club is hosting a group run at 8 a.m. Various distances. All levels are welcome. Membership is not required. Details: www.svrchome.org.

Tour Morgan Hill Museum
• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill house are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents providing tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are now open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, where visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.

Morning Bike Ride
• Weekly co-ed, no-drop ride averaging 25 miles. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St. at 7:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill Road bike and drop handlebars required.

Farmers’ Market
• The Morgan Hill Certified Farmers’ Market brings together farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. Now year-round, a family-friendly Kid’s Craft event was added with fun educational projects to delight all ages. Parking at the CalTrain Depot, accessed via Butterfield.

Gilroy Museum
• The Gilroy Museum has added hours and is now open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Feb. 25

GAL Grant Requests
• The Gilroy Assistance League is accepting requests that will benefit youth organizations, programs, and schools. In 2021, GALs gave out $16,000 to various local youth services. A formal grant request proposal must be completed and returned no later than Feb. 25. Forms may be downloaded at www.gilroyassistanceleague.org. Details: Paula Goldsmith at [email protected].

Feb. 26

Rotary Blood Drive
• The Gilroy Sunrise Rotary Club will host a community blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gilroy Veterans Hall, 74 W. 6th St. Details or to make an appointment, sign up at redcrossblood.org. Donors with all blood types are needed, especially types O, A and B negative.

Feb. 27

MH Toy-Anime-Comic Con
• This kid friendly event takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at The Dance Hall, 229 W. Main Ave. Kids younger than 10 are free, $7 for all others with an ad or flier otherwise the cost is $8. Dress to impress. The Cosplay Costume Contest takes place promptly at 2:30 p.m. All ages are welcome. Cameras are OK. Free parking.

State of the City Address
• Join Mayor Rich Constantine and the city of Morgan Hill from 7 to 8 p.m. for the virtual 2022 State of the City Address. Mayor Constantine will reflect on the prior year’s challenges and accomplishments and set the stage for what’s to come in 2022.
