Lions Club Morgan Hill

• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill house are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents providing tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are now open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, where visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.

Farmers’ Market
• The Morgan Hill Certified Farmers’ Market brings together farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. Now year-round, a family-friendly Kid’s Craft event was added with fun educational projects to delight all ages. Parking is available at the CalTrain Depot, accessed via Butterfield Boulevard.

April 6

Flower Lovers Meet
• Join in celebrating the club’s 97th birthday at 12:30 p.m. at the Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road. Learn how this club began and continued to today. Bring a flower from your garden to display. They provide the vases.

April 7

History Makers
• See “History Makers,” an official selection of this year’s Poppy Jasper International Film Festival, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Morgan Hill Community Playhouse, 17090 Monterey Road. The documentary film features the preservation of Villa Mira Monte, including the 1884 home built by our city’s namesake, Hiram Morgan Hill. Tickets available at pjiff.org.

Wild Dust on Stage
• Wild Dust’ is a comedic wild west play where the women are diverse and the men are … gone?! That’s right. A dust storm is about to hit this 1880s town and the men have gone to safety, leaving the women to fend for themselves. The women must get together and learn to get along as the only safety in town threatens to fall around them. The show plays from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Live Oak High School Theatre. Tickets can be purchased the night of the performance before the show at the theater. Details: [email protected].

April 9

Book Sale
• The Friends of Gilroy Library will have a book sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Gilroy Library, 350 W. Sixth St. $5 for a bag of books for members and $8 a bag for non-members. Hardbacks are $1 and paperbacks are $.50. The library bookstore is open from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

April 10

Easter Egg Hunt
• A free Easter egg hunt for children 10 and younger takes place from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Gilroy Center for the Arts, 7341 Monterey Road. A children’s Easter movie takes place from 2 to 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 sold at the door. Reservations required. Call (408) 842-6999.

Supervisor Candidate Forum
• A forum for Santa Clara County Supervisor District 1 will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Morgan Hill City Council Chambers, 17575 Peak Ave., and streamed live. Send questions to [email protected]. April 16

OFP Easter Egg Hunt
• The annual Operation Freedom Paws Easter Egg Hunt takes place from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Canine Education Center, 13920 Llagas Ave., San Martin. Entry is free and it’s $5 for kids 10 and younger to participate in the egg hunt. There will be a bouncy house, facing painting, chalk art and a special appearance by the Easter Bunny. Tickets available at www.ofpegghunt.givesmart.com. For the health and safety of all dogs boarding at OFP, no pets are allowed, service dogs only. All proceeds and donations help to empower OFP’s mission and save two lives, one team at a time.
