Lions Club Morgan Hill

SM Lions Club Meets

Running Group, Club Run

Tour Morgan Hill Museum
• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill House are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents giving tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are now open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, where visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.

Morning Bike Ride
• Weekly co-ed, no-drop ride averaging 25 miles. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St. at 7:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill. Road bike and drop handlebars required.

Farmers’ Market
• The Morgan Hill Certified Farmers’ Market brings together farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets in downtown. Now year-round, a family-friendly Kids Craft event was added with fun educational projects to delight all ages. Parking is available at the Caltrain depot, accessed via Butterfield Boulevard.

Gilroy Museum
• The Gilroy Museum has added hours and is now open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

July 13

Garlic Festival Concert
• A concert sponsored in part by KRTY featuring award-winning Nashville songwriters Wendell Mobley and Lee Thomas Miller takes place at Clos LaChance Winery. Tickets are $60 and seating is first-come, first-serve. Details: www.gilroygarlicfestivalassociation.com.

July 15

Friday Night Music Series
• The fifth of 12 Friday Night Music Series concerts takes place from 5:30 to 10 p.m. (opening band starts at 6:15 p.m., at the Downtown Amphitheater at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center. Enjoy beer and wine for sale as well as food from the Kiwanis Club.

Library Celebration
• The Morgan Hill Steve Tate Library Friends invite families to celebrate the library’s 15th anniversary. Stock up on children and teen’s 10 cent book sale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the program room. Also, enjoy special programs in the new Children’s Activity Room. They include:

‘Paws With Patriots’
• The 11th Annual Operation Freedom Paws “Paws with Patriots” Wine Gala takes place from 5 to 10 p.m., at the OFP Canine Education Center in San Martin. Enjoy dinner, wine, auctions and live music with the OFP Allstars featuring Bay Area favorite Mikey Day. Radio personality Jona Denz-Hamilton and Gilroy Chamber of Commerce President Mark Turner will host the event. Individual tickets are $100, a VIP table is $1,250.
