Howdy, Morgan Hillians — and happy Brew Crawl. Yup! You heard right. In this ever-changing world of $2 bell peppers, $2.50 avocadoes, $5 gas and triple the cost of security and porta-potties from a couple years ago, Brew Crawl is still on.

Established in 2012, the Morgan Hill Downtown Association has presented this hometown experience every year except for 2020, the COVID-19 year we all want to forget. The Crawl committee is applying the final touches to drive the event home. This year we have 18 stops throughout town. Micro brews pouring include our very own Kelly Brewing Company and TenFiveOne Cider Company, as well as Promised Land from Gilroy.

We have three great bands lined up for you to enjoy while strolling through downtown checking out our merchants and eateries. Endless Summer Trio plays a variety of pop, rock and classics. They’ll be set up at Rosy’s at the Beach. Hometown Tony Johns and his Street Lucy Project is at Kelly Brewing Company.  You never know how many talented musicians are going to show up with Tony as they balance jazz, funk, soul, and R&B. Elima in Hawaiian is “beautiful.” And that’s the music you’ll be listening to from this hot Pacific Islands-rooted band offering a wide range from originals and covers, at Bubbles & Brew.

Revenue generated from the Crawl helps MHDA keep the twinkle lights on creating that one-of-a-kind night-time ambiance downtown.  Hosting this event is quite costly and several local businesses have stepped up to support the gala experience.  Many thanks go out to our sponsors Pinnacle Bank, Design Factory Graphics, Morgan’s Cove, Sinaloa Café, Silva Construction and Bullet Wireless. Please remember in turn to support these businesses for their contribution to the Crawl.

If you’ve been on a trip to Mars and haven’t heard about the Tunnel To Towers Foundation, it is a nonprofit organization supporting our nation’s heroes.  Since 9/11/2001, T2T has helped first responders, veterans, their families and families of the fallen, with things like mortgage debt and building smart homes for the catastrophically injured. Once again, we are encouraging Tunnel To Towers donations on our website. MHDA kicked it off with a $500 contribution.

Brew Crawl 2022 will be held from 1 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 17.  Tickets are $55 in advance, purchased online through our website at www.mhdowntown.org. Use the QR Code ticket between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to check in on Third Street outside of Chacho’s. We’re only selling 1,000 tickets, so this event will be sold out.

Thanks so much to the MHDA Brew Crawl Committee and all the volunteers who have come forward to produce this wonderful event. Would like to list you all individually, but not enough characters on the page. And speaking of volunteers, we’re always on the hunt for help with MHDA events. There’s also room on the board of directors should you want to join in on the fun and offer your time and talent to this wonderful community. Reach out to us at (408) 779-3190.

All for now, folks. If we don’t see you at BC, we will definitely see ya around town.
