Walking into Cochi’s Kitchen in the Vineyard Town Center is always a delight. The aromas of fresh baked treats and house cured meats greets you along with co-owner Gabby Crescini’s smile.

Cochi’s Kitchen was started by her husband, Manny Vasquez, catering for a tech company in Silicon Valley. By March 2018 they were catering 400-plus meals a day. Like many other businesses they had to pivot during the pandemic.

They began by offering fried chicken sandwiches, which were pre-ordered and picked up in town, and added catering throughout Morgan Hill, including at fellow chamber member Kelly Brewing Company. Cochi’s is currently open Wednesday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. offering breakfast burritos, scones as well as sandwiches and salads for lunch.

They have rotating specials from their smoker and specialize in house-cured bacon and sausages. Cochi’s is available for full-service catering. “No job is too big, or too small,” Gabby said. Their desire to create deep roots in Morgan Hill has led to a farm-to-table” philosophy, which guides their menu as well as what they offer in their store. They partner with local wineries for events, local bakers supply them including “A Woman Sconed.” They purchase produce through local companies such as Terra Amico Farms and offer gifts created by a variety of local artisans.

Cochi’s Kitchen has successfully created a small town feel while serving fresh, delicious food. Their top selling sandwich is the Guido, an enormous East Coast style grinder stuffed with Boar’s Head deli meats and cheeses and their scones which are baked fresh daily. Their daily specials are posted on Instagram and Facebook, or stop by their shop at 435 Vineyard Boulevard, Morgan Hill. Gabby and Manny can be reached at (408) 209-3536 or [email protected].
