Farmers’ Market
• The Morgan Hill Certified Farmers’ Market brings together farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. A family-friendly Kids Craft is included with fun educational projects to delight all ages. Parking is available at the Caltrain depot, accessed via Butterfield Boulevard.

Tour Morgan Hill Museum
• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill House are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents giving tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions to the museum. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, where visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.

Second Saturday

Historic Downtown Walking Tours
• Free docent-led tours hosted by the Morgan Hill Historical Society from 10 a.m. to noon. Meet in front of Coffee Guys, 50 E. Third St. No reservations required. Donations are welcome. Learn more at www.morganhillhistoricalsociety.com.

Daughters of the Amer. Revolution
• Members from Hollister, Gilroy, San Juan Bautista and Morgan Hill meet at 10 a.m. (through May). July 2

Celebration of America Concert
• Temple Hill Choir, under the direction of Alan Chipman and Jennifer Brown with guest artist, former Miss Utah, Amy. M. Davis will perform at 7 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ, Latter-day Saints, Morgan Hill Stake Center, 1790 E. Dunne Ave. Admission is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The concert will feature patriotic and Americana music performed by the Temple Hill Choir and soloists, celebrating their 25th year of singing together.

July 3 & 4

Freedom Fest Events
• The Morgan Hill Freedom Fest takes place beginning with the Patriotic Sing at 5p.m. July 3 at the downtown amphitheater, followed by the Family Music Fest at 6 p.m. on Monterey Road in downtown. July 4 starts with the Freedom Run at 7:45 a.m., followed by the Car Cruise at 9 a.m. along the parade route. The parade begins at 10 a.m. Finally, the Fireworks on the Green takes place when gates open at 4 p.m. and includes concerts, a pie eating contest and concludes with fireworks about 9:30 p.m.

July 8 & 22

Book Sale
• The Friends of Gilroy Library will hold a book sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 350 W. Sixth St. The Isabel Jewell Book Store hours are 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday; 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.

July 13

Nashville Songwriters
• The Gilroy Garlic Festival Association brings back the Nashville Songwriters Sponsored by KRTY.com concert at Clos LaChance Winery in San Martin. Doors open at 6 p.m., at the winery, 1 Hummingbird Lane, in San Martin (clos.com). Tickets are $75 per person and will go on sale June 1, at www.gilroygarlicfestivalassociation.com. The $75 ticket includes a wine glass, glass of wine and garlic swag. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Gilroy Garlic Festival Association. The concert features award-winning Nashville songwriters Eric Paslay, Tyler Reeve, Chase McGill, and Chris LeCorte. All seating is first-come first-served. Seating is limited so guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or a blanket. The event is age 21 and older. No outside alcohol allowed, including previously purchased Clos LaChance wines. Food will be available for purchase at the event, but outside food/picnic is also allowed, including sealed water bottles. Sponsorships are available at the $500 level, which includes four tickets, four glasses, four glasses of wine, garlic swag, meet and greet, and social media recognition.

San Martin Horsemen
• The San Martin Horsemen’s Association meets from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Longhouse Restaurant in Gilroy. Arrive at 6 p.m. to order dinner on your own before the meeting begins. Details: www.smhorse.org.

Aug. 5

“Paws with Patriots”
• Raise a glass, raise a paddle, and help raise funds for lifesaving service dog teams during the 12th Annual “Paws with Patriots” Wine Gala from 5 to 10 p.m., at OFP Canine Education Center, 13920 Llagas Ave., San Martin. Hosts will be radio personality Jona Denz-Hamilton and Morgan Hill Mayor Mark Turner. Dinner includes tri-tip, chicken marsala, vegetarian pasta and dessert catered by Old City Hall Restaurant of Gilroy. Also enjoy wines, live music and an auction where you can bid on everything from sports experiences to getaways. Proceeds will go toward creating lifesaving service dog teams that empower veterans, first responders, children and other individuals with disabilities, at no cost to them. Sept. 23 & 24

Quilt Show
• Piece by Piece Quilters of Morgan Hill will have a quilt show (formerly held by South Valley Quilt Association) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the United Methodist Church.
