As the celebration of our nation’s freedom approaches, Morgan Hill residents are eagerly anticipating the grand finale of our community’s Freedom Fest events—the dazzling Fireworks on the Green.

This cherished tradition will take place July 4 at the Morgan Hill Outdoor Sports Center, 16500 Condit Road. It promises to be a night of excitement, wonder, and fun for the entire family.

Gates will open at 4 p.m., allowing attendees ample time to secure their spot and enjoy the lively atmosphere leading up to the main event. Admission is free but parking is $10 when purchased in advance online, and $15 for those who pay on arrival. The anticipation will build as the sun sets and the fireworks show begins about 9:30 p.m., illuminating the night sky with a vibrant array of colors and shapes.

To facilitate the smooth flow of traffic and ensure the safety of attendees, certain road closures will be implemented. From 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., Murphy Avenue between San Pedro and Barrett avenues will be closed. Furthermore, from 9 to 11:30 p.m., Condit Road and Murphy Avenue between East Dunne and Tennant avenues will be closed, along with San Pedro Avenue between Murphy Avenue and Condit Road from noon until 11:30 p.m. Additionally, Condit Road will become one-way only until 11:30 p.m., with the entrance for fireworks parking accessible from Condit Road coming from East Dunne Avenue. We encourage attendees to respect these closures to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment. Any cars found parking on closed roads will be towed starting at 3 a.m. July 4, as part of safety and security measures.

Refreshments and food will be available for purchase throughout the evening, providing an opportunity to indulge in some delicious treats while enjoying the festivities. Or bring a picnic and settle down on blankets, gathering your loved ones as your family and friends prepare to be awestruck by the spectacle that is Fireworks on the Green.

It’s crucial to remember that fireworks can be dangerous when mishandled. Leave the pyrotechnics to the professionals. For safety’s sake, avoid using illegal fireworks. They can cause devastating fires, damage homes, and lead to severe injuries or even loss of life. Let’s celebrate responsibly.
