Learn About Scouts

Line Dancing

Morning Bike Ride
• Weekly co-ed, no-drop ride averaging 25 miles. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St. at 7:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill. Road bike and drop handlebars required.

Farmers’ Market
• The Morgan Hill Certified Farmers’ Market brings together farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. A family-friendly Kids Craft is included with fun educational projects to delight all ages. Parking is available at the Caltrain depot, accessed via Butterfield Boulevard.

Tour Morgan Hill Museum
• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill House are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents giving tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions to the museum. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, where visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.

Second Saturday

Historic Downtown Walking Tours

Daughters of the Amer. Revolution
• Members from Hollister, Gilroy, San Juan Bautista and Morgan Hill meet at 10 a.m. (through May). Cops and Robbers Ball
• The Community Law Enforcement Foundation presents the annual Cops and Robbers Ball from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road. The theme is Jailhouse Rock so dress the part or black tie optional. Special awards will honor retired Sgt. Troy Hoefling and board member Craig van Keulen. Mental Health Access
• The Santa Clara County Library District is holding a series of events to educate and empower South Valley residents around mental health care. The goal is to provide crucial information about accessing mental health care services. The event takes place from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Library, 660 W. Main Ave.

Sept. 9

Founders Dinner
• One of Morgan Hill’s best-known and longest-running traditions is back and better than ever with several surprises in store. The 54th Annual Founders Dinner brings together families and friends to enjoy good food and wine, watch Morgan Hill Historical Society’s latest film, and share favorite Morgan Hill memories as they celebrate founding families and their unique local history. This year’s event returns to the Community and Cultural Center ballroom. Leadership Award Dinner
• Mario Banuelos will be honored at Leadership Morgan Hill’s Leadership Excellence Awards dinner at Guglielmo Winery. Tickets on sale now at www.leadershipmorganhill.com. This year’s lively program will reflect Mario’s lifelong multi-cultural community service.

Mural Celebration
• Leadership Morgan Hill Class of 2023 invites the public to their mural celebration from 10 to 11 a.m., on the stage near the Magical Bridge Playground at Community Park, 171 W. Edmundson Ave. There will be a presentation of the gift to the city, a ribbon cutting, and entertainment.

Uplift Concert
• Robert Butler will perform a one-man show at 7 p.m. at Gilroy’s Center for the Arts, 7341 Monterey St. It will feature covers by Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, EWF, The Temptations, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Roberta Flack, Gladys Knight, and Michael Buble. Food Truck Fly-In
• The Santa Clara County Airports, South County Airport Pilots Association and Gilroy Rotary Club present the Food Truck Fly-In at the San Martin Airport from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., 13030 Murphy Ave., San Martin. Admission is free and the day includes aircraft flyovers, live music, food truck fare, wine and beer garden, aircrafts on display, RC airshow, skydiving, classic car show, aviation museum and a raffle.
