Vietnam veteran Eddie Bowers will host the annual Veterans Day celebration at 9 a.m. Nov. 11 at the downtown memorial in the median of Monterey Road at First Street.

Pastor Frank Riley will lead the audience in a prayer and children, mentored by Karen Crane, will sing patriotic songs.

The flag that will be raised at the beginning of the ceremony will be from heavily decorated WWII Army veteran Noel Douglas Moon. A few of the medals and citations he earned are the Bronze Star, the Presidential Citation, the American Defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal.

Larry W. Carr will read the names of the those Morgan Hill residents who died in service to their country.

Wreaths will be laid by Dave de la Costa and Jim Realini.

As is the custom, Steve Johnson will conclude the ceremony playing Taps.
