“The coaches and clients are the face of the company, and make people feel welcome.”

When Live Oak alum, Jenn Fagan graduated from college with a degree in kinesiology, she went to work in the fitness industry. She asked her mentor Terrell Jones, a 49er strength and conditioning coach at the time, which direction she should take her career. His advice was to work for her father to understand the business world, then she could do anything she wanted.

She took his advice, working for her father Armando Garcia. She learned the business the old-fashioned way, by moving through each department and finally following him to Dicar Networks. Twenty years later Jenn is president of Dicar and her passion for fitness has led her to open the local franchise of Fit Body Boot Camp.

“Fitness has always been my passion” said Fagan, who during the years spent hours working out and working as a trainer in gyms. The mom of four entered a phase of her life where she couldn’t devote hours to a fitness program, yet she still wanted to attain her fitness goals.

“Everyone needs to find their spot. At each stage of your life a different gym that will work for you,” she said. “At different life stages, you may not have time to spend an hour in a gym. The Fit Body Boot Camp workout allows you to accomplish results with just 30 minutes three times a week.”

The goal of Morgan Hill Fit Body Boot Camp is fat loss, they incorporate cardio, metabolic conditioning, and strength training.  Strength training is imperative. As our bodies age our lean muscle mass naturally reduces, and strength training can stave off the effects of aging. These are “HIIT” workouts: high intensity, interval training. Clients work through the circuit in just 30 minutes while delivering large results.

The certified personal trainers make Fit Body Boot Camp unique. They lead and are available during each workout to ensure clients are working appropriately and so they can modify clients’ workouts to accommodate injuries and the client’s fitness level.

“The coaches there are all so amazingly supportive from the moment you walk in the door,” said Morgan Hill Fit Body Boot Camp client Sue Phea. “I have looked forward to working out since the first day I walked through their door. I have been a member for about 19 months now and have lost 5 percent body fat while increasing my lean muscle mass. I am toned and so much stronger than when I started. I can do jumping jacks, regular push-ups, hold squats and lunges with so much more energy than I could 20 years ago.”

As an organization, Fit Body Boot Camp encourages community within each location. The franchise holds contests to build community within the gym and across all the franchises. They recently participated in a food drive. The Morgan Hill franchise, with the help of their clients, was able to donate 1,046 food items to Reach Out at St Catherine’s. This sense of community is felt throughout the organization.

“The coaches and clients are the face of the company, and make people feel welcome,” Fagan said. “They have helped us build a great gym.”

Morgan Hill Fit Body Boot Camp is currently offering a no-obligation (no credit card needed) two-week free trial. They are located at 1295 E. Dunne Ave., #120. Sessions are available Monday to Saturday mornings and Monday to Thursday evenings. Details: (408) 209-0102 or email [email protected].
