Happy spring everyone.

It’s time again for one of our downtown’s favorite events. Picture yourself meandering through the heart of our hamlet sipping fine wine at several stops, grooving to lively tunes, and dancing with abandon. It’s an afternoon full of excitement, camaraderie, and, best of all, supporting a fabulous cause — helping MHDA maintain the charm of downtown.

Come join us Saturday, April 27, for the annual Morgan Hill Downtown Association Wine Stroll, where fun and community spirit will be overflowing.

From 1 to 5 p.m., downtown will transform into a wine lover’s paradise — 20 local wineries paired with our merchants. A delightfully stimulating rendezvous awaits every turn as you swirl, sniff, and sip your way through the best offerings of local vintners.

While wine is the star of the show, let loose with the rhythms of live music. We’ve assembled an impressive roster to keep your toes tapping and spirits soaring.

Classic rock stylings of Encore will have you dancing to the sounds of ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s at Sinaloa. The Mix will be casting soothing Jazz at Rosy’s at the Beach. Let The JukeBox Boyz take you through the years at Bubbles playing tunes from Dylan, Santana, Elton John, Chicago, Green Day — and everything in between.

Don’t miss out on discounted tickets: $55 in advance on eventbrite.com or $65 day of the event. Wine Stroll Saturday, check in is on Third Street from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. See ad in this edition of Morgan Hill Life to purchase your tickets.

As with any unforgettable event, anticipation is always half the fun. Join us the week leading up to the Stroll for Wine Maker events, specials, and no-corkage fees at some of our favorite restaurants. These exclusive offerings will set the stage for the main event and ensure your palate is primed for the Stroll. See the ad in on page 21 of this edition of Morgan Hill Life for more about Wine and Food Week.

And for another special treat, sign yourself and your pooch up for the Air For Paws Parade of Paws in the lot next to Bubbles. A $25 registration fee gives you an opportunity to show off your best owner/dog costumes and win some paw-some prizes. Check-In is at 1 p.m. and the show begins at 2 p.m.

Heartfelt thanks to our dedicated volunteers without whom this event wouldn’t be possible.

If you’ve got the time and interest, we could always use more help. Simply visit our website at www.morganhilldowntown.org and sign up to become part of this extraordinary celebration.

Our deepest gratitude also goes out to event sponsors RAM Insurance, MG Constructors, Foster Krueger Law Offices, Little UVAS Vineyards, Lime Site Services, Bubbles and Design Factory Graphics — for their unwavering support. Together, let’s raise a glass to the 14th Annual Morgan Hill Downtown Association Wine Stroll, a day filled with fine vino, dance-worthy tunes, and joy.

In other news, the 43rd Morgan Hill Mushroom Festival is set for May 25 and May 26. The Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament is June 3. Check their websites for details — and join the fun!

Until next time, cheers to you all and we’ll catch ya around downtown.
