WERC-Opossums-(2)

WERC-Opossums-(1)Morgan Hill’s Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center this month received eight infant opossums weighing 10 grams each. They were discovered in their dead mother’s pouch, still attached to the teat. Unfortunately, the opposums at this age and weight are extremely difficult to care for. Despite tube feedings every one to two hours by WERC volunteers, the group did not survive, said Colleen Grzan, a volunteer.
