Morgan Hill enjoys a host of terrific attributes along with a few challenges. Our temperate climate, proximity to seemingly everything, first-class restaurants, world-class wineries, interesting locally-owned shops plus a robust and rapidly growing live music scene are but some of our amazing strengths.

The challenge is in connecting the people who would enjoy them with the opportunities. Many of us leave town every morning for our jobs, and sometimes come home late and tired. Meanwhile the majority of people who work in Morgan Hill commute somewhere else at the end of the day.

Visitors, workers and residents are all part of the Morgan Hill community, and the more opportunities they have for positive experiences with one another, the better.

Recently, the Chamber started a member-to-member promotional program open to all of the employees of any member organization.
Through this program we hope that some of the people who just come here to work by day will discover other companies in the area they would enjoy doing business with.

If you work for a local company, you may already be entitled to these special deals. Check online at www.morganhill.org to view a list of the companies involved. This very newspaper has an offer for anyone looking to advertise their business or nonprofit organization.
Another way of connecting is through the rapidly expanding calendar of community events at morganhill.org where you can connect yourself to events of interest to you. Tabs along the top of the calendar let you choose things like “Youth,” “Seniors,” “Entertainment” and more.

Finally, our public events are perhaps what the Chamber of Commerce is best known for.

Come kick back, relax or dance the night away at the free Friday Night Music Series concerts through the end of August.

After several weeks off, we close out the season with the Taste of Morgan Hill featuring a street dance to the music of Aja Vu (a Steely Dan and Chicago tribute band), Shane Dwight and Entourage. We’re proud to have been a staple of the community for the past 25years. The Taste is a wonderful, wholesome street fair experience for the entire family. This free festival is held in downtown Morgan Hill each year. The party keeps going until 10 p.m. Saturday night. Put it on your calendar and come on out for some small-town fun!
