If you have a favorite family recipe that has been passed down through many generations, or if you have created your own culinary concoction, the Morgan Hill Granada Preservation Society is seeking your input in its upcoming Home Chefs of Morgan Hill cookbook.
The nonprofit group came up with the share-your-recipe project to raise funds to preserve the movie theater in downtown Morgan Hill for cinematic, music, comedy, theater and other public entertainment events.

“What is more fun than a hometown cookbook, with recipes coming from the loving kitchens of Morgan Hill residents,” said Patty Curtis, a local resident who is organizing the project. “The Granada has meant something to each of us, whether it was the location of your first date, or your first childhood movie experience. This and the fact that the theater will bring more business to our downtown is the reason for this cookbook.”

The preservation society will print 200 cookbooks and sell them for $15 at BookSmart and The Happy Spatula, a new kitchen supply store in downtown. It is also selling advertising space in the cookbook. Proceeds benefit the Granada.

The deadline to get your recipe to Curtis is March 31. For more information, call her at (408) 710-9636 or email her at [email protected]
