Interested in visiting China in the fall? The Gilroy Chamber of Commerce is offering a 9-day trip Oct. 16-24 for about $2,200 including air travel. This foreign travel opportunity is open not just to Gilroy residents but also Morgan Hill and San Martin residents.
“This is a great opportunity to travel to the Far East and visit some of the most popular places like Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou and Bejing for an affordable price,” said Mark Turner, chief executive officer for the Gilroy Chamber. “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit China and discover its culture and history.”
An information meeting is scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m., Jan. 21 at the Gilroy Chamber office in downtown Gilroy. The meeting will allow interested parties to learn more about the locations participants in the trip will be visiting, the tours that are available, the luxury hotels participants will be staying at, travel, meals, optional tours and the shopping opportunities. It will help people understand what to expect and how to prepare for the trip, Turner said.
“This particular opportunity allows for travel with a larger group of individuals and a travel company who know where to go, how to get around and what to see and do,” he said.
