Spend an afternoon downtown sampling award-winning local wines at annual stroll April 25

The Morgan Hill Downtown Association is excited to invite you to its 8th Annual Wine & Food Week, commencing with the acclaimed Winery and Restaurant Specials Series weeknights from April 19 to 24, and culminating with the popular Wine Stroll, now the Wine, Art & Music Stroll, from 1 to 4:30 p.m., April 25.

During the Winery and Restaurant Specials Series, wineries paired with downtown restaurants will offer special tastings, winemaker dinners, wine education, and a trivia night, in celebration of our outstanding local restaurants and award-winning wineries. This is an exceptional opportunity to meet local winemakers and chefs and hear them speak of their love and passion for their work. Noah’s, Craft Roots, Odeum, Prova, Rosy’s, and La Nina Perdida, along with Sarah’s Vineyard, Jason-Stephens Winery, Alara Winery, and Clos La Chance Winery are in the works. We will keep you apprised too, but do contact your favorite restaurants/wineries to find out about their latest offerings for the week.

Spend a beautiful afternoon downtown sampling award-winning local wines, while discussing the terroir, palate and finish of the tastings with wine experts doubling as pourer. Enjoy the specials offered by the local downtown establishments too.

Incorporating positive feedback, art and music are now a major part of the event. This year, musicians will perform throughout downtown to enthrall attendees, and include:

  • Mitchell James at Bubbles & Brew

  • Tony Johns & the Street Lucy Project at the Granary Building on Depot street

  • Demi Rae Moreno at Rosy’s

  • Undercover at Kelly’s Brewery

Our second art exhibition promises to be even more successful than last year’s debut, and will be held at a prominent location that is also a wine stop. This is a fantastic opportunity for both attendees and local artists, many of whom will be present to describe their creative expressions.

The poster art competition is a key attraction during the event. As always, ticket holders will vote for their favorite poster. In addition, this year a panel of judges will determine the winner who be featured during the 2021 Wine, Art &  Music Stroll. Applications for participating in both art opportunities will continue to be accepted through mid-April. See the MHDA website for details.

Wine, Art & Music Stroll tickets are $45 and limited. They can be purchased through Eventbrite at  www.morganhilldowntown.org, or at Bubbles & Brew and BookSmart.

If still available, tickets sold the day of the event are $50. Each ticket holder will receive a commemorative wine glass, event map and enjoy tastings at all participating locations.
