Lions Club Morgan Hill

Outdoor Summer Movie Series
• Bring the family down for a free movie under the stars. The outdoor movie series will run every Wednesday at sundown through Sept. 1 at the Morgan Hill Downtown Amphitheater. Support Morgan Hill businesses by dining before the movie or ordering dinner to-go and enjoying it at the amphitheater (food and snacks will not be sold at the movie). You may also enter to win a prize valued at $50 by submitting your receipt from a purchase at a Morgan Hill business on movie night. Aug. 11 see Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse, Aug. 18: Clueless, Aug. 25: Onward, and Sept. 1: The Breakfast Club.

Running Group, Club Run
• The South Valley Running Club is hosting a group run at 8 a.m. Various distances. All levels welcome. Membership is not required. Details: www.svrchome.org.

Tour Morgan Hill Museum
• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill house are now open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturdays with docents to welcome visitors and provide tours. Visit and learn about the rich history of Morgan Hill and see new additions including the artwork of the famous Disney Studio artist and Live Oak High School graduate, Mary Robinson Blair. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., where you can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and Rose garden at your leisure.

Aug. 13
Friday Night Music Series
• The Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce’s Friday Night Music Series returns from 6 to 9:30 p.m., at the Downtown Amphitheater at the Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road. The series runs through Oct. 8.

Aug. 14
Dementia Support Group
• The Loma Clara Living Dementia Support Group takes place at 2 p.m. in the Activity Room at the facility, 16515 Butterfield Blvd. Dementia specialist Stephanie Howard will provide information and education on how to support loved ones. To reserve a spot at this free event, call (669) 258-3500.

Sept. 11
Celebrate history
• Visit the Morgan Hill House at Villa Vira Monte, 17860 Monterey Road, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for guided tours, special displays and entertainment. Feel free to bring a picnic.

Sept. 25 & 26
The Taste of Morgan Hill
• The Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce’s Taste of Morgan Hill is accepting applications for artists and vendors. This is a fun and entertaining family festival with vendors, food and entertainment. It features fine arts and quality crafts, food booths, local wine and beer gardens, entertainment, night concert, custom and classic car show, and promotional vendors.
